For more than eleven years, our people worked across rural Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha — unorganised, under different entities and names. We have now come together to consolidate all of that work into one foundation: Welcome Foundation Trust.
For over eleven years, our founders and field teams worked across rural Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha under different entities, names and informal collectives — running learning centres, health camps, women's SHGs and flood-relief drives.
The work grew village by village — into Jharkhand's tribal districts, the Sundarbans of West Bengal and coastal Odisha. During COVID-19 we distributed 2.1 lakh cooked meals and 6,400 ration kits, even while still scattered across names.
We consolidated all of that work into a single formal organisation — Welcome Foundation Trust — registered as a public charitable trust (Reg. No. 2047) and listed on NGO Darpan (JH/2026/1249791), with one team and one set of accounts.
Under one name, we continue the work of the last decade-plus — across 1,200+ villages and 4.5 lakh+ lives — in education, health, livelihoods, women's empowerment and the rights of the most vulnerable.
A rural India where every child is in school, every woman is heard, and every village can shape its own future with dignity.
To walk alongside rural communities as partners — co-creating programmes in education, health, livelihoods and rights that endure long after we leave.
Dignity over charity. Listening over assuming. Staying long over scaling fast. Honesty in every rupee we receive.
Every Welcome Foundation programme is co-designed with the village it serves. We start by listening — to women's groups, to panchayats, to children — and we plan our exit before we plan our entry.
Our field teams live in the districts where they work. We measure success not in projects built but in institutions that survive us: SHGs that manage their own books, schools that run without us, farmers who train their neighbours.
