Welcome Foundation Trust · 11+ years of grassroots work

Building dignity, hope and lasting change in rural India.

For over a decade we have walked alongside rural communities across Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and beyond — working in education, health, livelihoods, women's empowerment and the rights of the most vulnerable.

Who we are

A people-first foundation, rooted in rural India.

For over eleven years, our founders and field teams worked across rural Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha under different entities and names. We have now come together to consolidate all of that work under one roof — Welcome Foundation Trust.

Today we work across more than 1,200 villages in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha, and respond to communities across the country through pan-India programmes. We move slowly, stay long, and measure success not in projects completed but in lives changed.

  • Community-led design in every village we enter
  • Women & children at the centre of our work
  • Transparent, audited, 80G & CSR-compliant

Sunita joined a Welcome Foundation self-help group in 2019. With a small loan and tailoring training, she now runs a stitching unit that employs three women in her village.
